Szotyi

Male · Puppy

Szotyi, a gentle Szotyi, is looking for a loving home. Szotyi was simply no longer wanted by his former owner, a farmer, and so came to our Hungarian partner animal shelter. Now the young male is waiting with us for the chance to quickly find a real, loving home. Szotyi is an incredibly kind, friendly, modest, and gentle dog who enjoys petting. He shows himself playful in a puppy-typical manner and currently lives with his dog buddy Pacsi. Although there is always a lot going on in their shared kennel, Szotyi is the significantly calmer partner. He approaches the world a bit more calmly, is very affectionate, and is currently practicing walking on a leash. Because of his good, loving nature, he can also be placed in a family with stable small children. The handsome is of course castrated, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, examined by a veterinarian, and has an EU pet passport. He will only be placed in loving hands with a contract. The handover could take place in Berlin or alternatively in the Stuttgart area, provided someone falls in love with him and wants to give him a forever home. For this dream dog, a new home or a foster home (foster home only Berlin/suburbs) is now urgently being sought, unless he has found a home by the next transport. As always, we point out that a dog from foreign animal protection needs time, patience, and a loving arrival. New impressions, new routines, and new bonds should be able to grow in peace. If you are willing to go this way together, you will be rewarded with a very special deep connection. If you are interested in an adoption or for further information, please write us a message. About Szotyi

What life with Szotyi looks like

Szotyi is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen in Ketzin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szotyi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szotyi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szotyi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szotyi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Szotyi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szotyi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szotyi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
