Tag is a fun Pomeranian cross looking for a loving forever home. He is located at our Old Windsor centre. Tag is currently spending some time in a temporary foster home and has settled in well. He travels well in the car, loves to play with his toys and curling up next to the foster carers on the sofa. Whilst Tag doesn't seek attention all the time, he Tag is affectionate on his own terms and forms strong bonds with people who respect his boundaries and allow him to build trust at his own pace. Due to this he is looking for a household with adults or older teenagers. One of the best ways to get to know Tag is through play, as he loves playing with toys outdoors and this has proven to be a great way to bond with him. He can be a little noise sensitive at times and can bark when hearing noises he is unsure of. He will need to live in a quieter area away from built up locations where he could be disturbed by lots of activity passing his house. Tag would like to be the only dog in the home. He doesn't actively seek interaction with other dogs and much prefers spending his walks doing what he enjoys most: sniffing, exploring and taking in the world around him at his own pace. His new owners should be aware that Tag finds veterinary handling stressful and has been muzzle-associated for clinic visits to help keep these experiences as positive as possible. He will benefit from owners who are willing to continue supporting him with patience and positive reinforcement. Tag has also shown himself to be something of an escape artist, so his new family will need to be mindful of security around doors, gates and outdoor spaces. As a Pomeranian cross, he will also require regular grooming to keep his coat comfortable and in good condition.
