Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 13 years

Tagada, 13 years old, a sweet little grandma. My name is Tagada and I'm about 13 years old. I'm a lovely little grandma who still has a lot of love to give. I'm currently in foster care, waiting to find my forever family. This allows me to get to know my little habits and talk to you about everything you need to know so that our meeting can be the best possible. I'm a very cuddly, gentle and endearing little dog. I particularly enjoy moments of tenderness and I'll gladly seek out caresses from people I trust. I'm also a big foodie: I have a weakness for wet food and I know how to make myself understood when an appetizing smell reaches my nose! At home, I'm a quiet little grandma. With my age and my vision impaired by cataracts in both eyes, I need landmarks and a calm daily routine to feel safe. Walks are a bit more delicate for me. I can be worried when I'm outside and react to people or dogs I meet. Since I can't see well, new situations can be overwhelming for me. When I'm not reassured, I may want to turn back to find my way and return to an environment I know. Calm, secure and adapted outings will be preferred. Cleanliness may also still need to be accompanied: I need to be able to go out regularly and have an environment adapted to my little grandma's pace. I currently live with an old and quiet little dog, with whom the cohabitation is good. For my future home, I would ideally look for a family without other animals or with a calm and undemanding little dog, who will respect my pace and not constantly try to play or bother me. A life with young children or in a very lively environment would probably not be ideal for me. I need a gentle, patient and available family, who will give me time to settle in and respect my need for tranquility. During my last veterinary check-up, I showed a strong sensitivity to handling. So you always have to be careful when handling me gently and delicately. My health also requires regular veterinary follow-up, adapted to my age and my different needs. I may not be a young energetic dog anymore, but I have something precious to offer: a gentle presence, cuddles, a cute little face and a lot of affection to share. So, if you're looking for a little companion for a quiet life, full of gentleness, comfort and tenderness, maybe we're meant to meet. If you want to meet me, you can contact the LPA-NF of Lille by sending an email to the address or calling 03.20.52.52.16, they will give you the contact of my foster family.

About Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil

What life with Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil looks like

Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at LPA Nord de la France in Lille.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. LPA Nord de la France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — LPA Nord de la France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with LPA Nord de la France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tagada – en Famille d'Accueil and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
