Taizeur

Labrador Retriever · Male · Adult · 8 years

Past: Wandering, identified with several families then abandoned. The plus: Full of energy and enthusiasm; very kind; clingy; extremely cuddly. The minus: Jumpy; rough. Ideal family: One that loves physical contact and is dynamic. Hi humans, I’m Taizeur, the electric battery brimming with love from the shelter ♥️ People often tell me I’m a walking sun. After a life spent bouncing from one home to another, my nose has turned white with age—I’m now a senior gentleman, but in my head I’m still a young adventurer ready to set off exploring trails, sniffing a thousand scents, and hiking for hours with my favorite human. I’ve had quite a few adventures already, so today I’m not looking for a new chapter in my life. I’m searching for my forever home—a place where I can finally rest my paws and say to myself, “There it is, Taizeur, you’re home.” I’m a dog full of joy, funny, lively, and bursting with energy. I love running, hiking, enjoying the great outdoors, and sharing wonderful adventures. And after all that effort? Comfort! I’m a huge cuddlebug. I need human contact to feel secure and find my balance. I come seeking petting with great enthusiasm… sometimes maybe a little too much! It happens that I forget I’m no longer a 5-kilo puppy and demand my cuddles with the delicacy of an elephant in a china shop—but I promise, it’s always with a heart this big ❤️. I’ll need patient, gentle, and present humans who understand that behind my energy and my “big baby craving cuddles” lies a dog who needs to regain trust: stability will be my greatest gift. In return? I’ll offer you my zest for life, my enthusiastic walks, my slightly overwhelming moments of tenderness, my eyes filled with love, and all the loyalty that a dog who’s waited so long can give. So if you’ve got a spot on your couch, a place in your hiking boots, and especially a space in your heart... I’m waiting for you with impatience and love ♥️ Breed history: Labrador: 55 to 62 cm tall, weighing between 25 and 36 kg; life expectancy 10 to 12 years; calm; intelligent; gentle; communicative; agile; trusting; sweet; available in three colors—yellow, chocolate, and black; originally from Newfoundland. Malinois: 56 to 66 cm tall, weighing between 20 and 30 kg; affectionate; loyal; responsive; versatile; highly motivated; athletic; with an exceptionally developed sense of smell; working breed; devoted. The Malinois: a dog capable of doing amazing things and blowing everyone away. But on the other hand, he’s also capable of chattering his teeth when he’s happy, running around everywhere, and getting into all sorts of mischief. 😅 So the owner needs to be able to appreciate both sides: his intelligent side and his playful side! About Taizeur

What life with Taizeur looks like

Taizeur is a large adult labrador retriever dog waiting at SPA de l in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Taizeur, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Taizeur?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA de l handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Taizeur on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Taizeur if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA de l will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Taizeur already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Taizeur isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA de l early rather than rehoming privately; they know Taizeur and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
