TAM TAM – 2.5 ans – ♂︎

Mixed Breed · Male

My name is TamTam. I am a two-and-a-half-year-old Australian Shepherd, and I was taken in because my owner could no longer take care of me. If you are looking for a quiet companion, it won't be me, I feel strongly and live intensely, but if you want a dog with whom to build something, then take the time to read me. I am very close to my human, without being intrusive. When I'm settled, I sleep peacefully, often near you, and I respect the rules of the house without difficulty and know how to be alone for a few hours. Routines reassure me, they help me know what to expect. When everything is consistent, I am a balanced, attentive dog, capable of adapting. But when the landmarks change too much, I have more trouble managing and I can express it through barking or agitation. With humans I don't know, I am more reserved. I prefer that they let me come to them, at my own pace. Arrivals at home can make me react, then I calm down once I've understood that everything is fine. Children, I tolerate them if they respect my space. With other dogs, I enjoy contact, especially to play. I can be a bit insistent, sometimes awkward in my way of relating. With some males, it can be more complicated, nothing insurmountable but I need a human who accompanies me to better manage these interactions. Birds, cats, anything that moves quickly... can make me lose track a little. At those times, I am like caught. But I am learning, and with work, I am already progressing. Outside, I need to expend energy, a simple neighborhood walk is not enough. I like to run, explore, think, and use my sense of smell. I am smart, responsive, and I love activities that stimulate me. In addition, I also need to learn to come down, to find calm. I am a sensitive and affectionate dog, I need a present, patient human who will understand my ways and help me find my balance. If you are ready to invest and share with me, then I will be much more than a dog by your side, I will be a true life partner. Photos.

Je préfère qu’on me laisse venir, à mon rythme. Photos

Can I adopt TAM TAM – 2.5 ans – ♂︎ if I live in another country?

What happens if TAM TAM – 2.5 ans – ♂︎ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Ron'Rhône early rather than rehoming privately; they know TAM TAM – 2.5 ans – ♂︎ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
