Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten

Tammy is a cuddly, rather quiet cat who enjoys playing and seeks human companionship. She particularly likes to curl up on laps. When she wants to cuddle, she lets people know with a soft meow. Tammy was born on 14.08.2026 and is microchipped and vaccinated. She can be rehomed in an indoor environment or a home with a secure garden or balcony. A social cat should already be present. Alternatively, Tammy can be rehomed with one of her siblings.

DE·Show original

About Tammy – Die lieben Sieben

What life with Tammy – Die lieben Sieben looks like

Tammy – Die lieben Sieben is a medium-sized kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. in Gangelt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tammy – Die lieben Sieben, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tammy – Die lieben Sieben?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tammy – Die lieben Sieben on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tammy – Die lieben Sieben if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tammy – Die lieben Sieben already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tammy – Die lieben Sieben isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tammy – Die lieben Sieben and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
