She would like more human contact, like her kennel mate, but she’s not ready to approach us yet and avoids us. When we stroked her under pressure in the corner, she held up well. She couldn’t enjoy it yet. But we believe that in another environment, she would likely warm up quickly with a confident only dog and develop into a human-oriented, playful female dog. —————– UPDATE April 2025: The loving TAMY has made a truly impressive development since the last recording. She has been in the shelter for such a long time, has gone through so much, and despite all the challenges, she has not given up but is slowly warming up. During our visit, she was initially cautious and curious, was lured close with treats, and finally took them directly from our hands and allowed herself to be stroked extensively. A great step towards trust. She deserves to finally find a home where she can settle and flourish. ———- UPDATE October 2024: TAMY was quite insecure during our visit and feared when we approached her. After a short time and some patience, we could convince her to take the treats from our hands. This was a great step for TAMY. ———- UPDATE September 2024: Our beautiful TAMY refused to have anything to do with us during our visit and fled from us… It’s so sad to see what the shelter and the lack of human contact can do to a sensitive female dog… We very much hope that TAMY’s fate is not sealed and that she can still have the chance to find a loving home with experienced people despite her insecurity. TAMY has already gone through so much in her life and should finally be able to settle down. A confident only dog would certainly make her integration easier and help her warm up and gain trust. ———— UPDATE October 2023: As always, we were greeted joyfully by Tamy. She took the treats very well and a gentle touch as we passed by was also okay. This time, it was noticeable that she would like to trust more. And behold, she suddenly sat in the corner and let us stroke her without resistance. She was not really trusting yet, but from her own people, she would surely be able to enjoy it very soon. When will this enchanting female dog finally be seen? ———– UPDATE November 2022: TAMY was allowed to move into an outdoor kennel after her surgery. She is a very friendly and agile female dog. She happily takes treats from our hands, is willing to be stroked, but still lacks the courage. One can hardly notice her hip and front leg surgery. Fremden Menschen begegnet sie zunächst etwas schüchtern und zurückhaltend. Gibt man ihr jedoch die Zeit, die sie braucht, fasst sie zunehmend Vertrauen und zeigt ihre liebenswerte Persönlichkeit. Leckerchen nimmt Tamy gerne an und lässt sich damit gut motivieren. Trotz ihrer anfänglichen Unsicherheit ist sie gut händelbar und lässt sich auch in ungewohnten Situationen problemlos anfassen. Hat sie erst einmal Vertrauen gefasst, kann sie die Aufmerksamkeit und Nähe ihrer Menschen sogar richtig genießen. Aktuell wird Tamy aufgrund einer Wunde am Fuß versorgt, was sie geduldig und kooperativ mitmacht. Tamy ist eine tolle Hündin, die nicht nur durch ihre Schönheit, sondern auch durch ihren angenehmen Charakter überzeugt.
