Meeting Tania immediately reveals that her striking bat-eared appearance makes her a very special female dog. The wiry, affectionate Podenca is about one and a half years old (as of August 2025) and has lived in the loving care of Refugio Kimba since January. During this time, she has developed into an open-minded, lively companion who warmly welcomes both people and other dogs with a big heart and friendly curiosity. Tania’s open nature is evident from the first meeting. Visitors are greeted with a wagging tail and a friendly welcome—always open to new acquaintances, whether human or canine. Tania is attentive to her fellow animals, showing sensitivity in her interactions and gently welcoming new arrivals. Her social behavior is exemplary, and she feels at ease in the pack. Podenco-like, Tania loves group play, especially with other running dogs. She is full of energy, quick, and always ready to try new things. She is very intelligent, observing her surroundings attentively and learning quickly—not least because she is enthusiastic about any form of mental stimulation. For Tania, nothing is more beautiful than running, playing, and experiencing small adventures with her friends. She also enthusiastically participates in head work and search games. For those interested in Podencos, it’s worth noting: this Spanish hunting dog breed brings a unique charm. Podencos are known for their sensitivity, gentleness, and cleverness. They are curious, adaptable, and bond closely with their trusted people. At the same time, they are very independent and bring a touch of adventure and curiosity. Podencos are—contrary to many misconceptions—not only passionate hunters but also true family dogs who value closeness and security. Wer Tania begegnet, spürt sofort, dass das bildhübsche Fledermausohr eine ganz besondere Hündin ist. Die drahtige, zärtliche Podenca ist rund eineinhalb Jahre jung (Stand 08/2025) und lebt seit Januar im liebevollen Schutz des Refugio Kimba. In dieser Zeit hat sie sich zu einer aufgeschlossenen, lebensfrohen Begleiterin entwickelt, die sowohl Menschen als auch andere Hunde mit großem Herzen und freundlicher Neugier willkommen heißt. Schon beim ersten Kennenlernen fällt Tanias aufgeschlossene Art auf. Besucher werden von ihr schwanzwedelnd und freundlich begrüßt – stets offen für neue Bekanntschaften, egal ob Mensch oder Hund. Tania kümmert sich aufmerksam um ihre Artgenossen, zeigt Feingefühl im Umgang und nimmt neuankommende Hunde sanft in Empfang. Ihr Sozialverhalten ist vorbildlich, und sie fühlt sich im Rudel wohl. Podenco-typisch liebt Tania das gemeinschaftliche Spiel, am allerliebsten mit anderen Laufhunden. Dabei ist sie voller Energie, blitzschnell und stets bereit, Neues auszuprobieren. Sie ist sehr intelligent, beobachtet ihre Umgebung aufmerksam und lernt schnell – nicht zuletzt, weil sie für jede Form von Beschäftigung zu begeistern ist. Sie sind neugierig, anpassungsfähig und binden sich eng an ihre Bezugspersonen. Gleichzeitig sind sie sehr eigenständig und bringen einen Hauch von Abenteuerlust und Entdeckergeist mit. Ihre sportliche Natur macht sie zu idealen Begleiter*innen für aktive Menschen, die Freude an Bewegung und gemeinsamen Unternehmungen haben. Podencos sind – entgegen vieler Vorurteile – nicht nur passionierte Jäger*innen, sondern auch wahre Familienhunde, die Nähe und Geborgenheit schätzen. Sie brauchen liebevolle Führung, Konsequenz und Beschäftigung, die sowohl Körper als auch Geist auslastet. Für Tania suchen wir Menschen, die ihr freundliches, kluges und aktives Wesen zu schätzen wissen.
