Tasha

Border Collie Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 5 years

Tasha is a wonderful female dog, a Border Collie (or mix? ), standing approximately 48 cm tall. Her date of birth is estimated to be February 2021. Her past remains a mystery to us. Her appearance makes us wonder whether she may have given birth to many puppies and perhaps even been used for breeding. Of course, these are only assumptions, but one thing is certain: Tasha deserves to enjoy peace, care and love from now on, perhaps things she has never truly had the chance to experience before. With her Border Collie traits, Tasha needs more than affection. She also needs mental stimulation and regular physical exercise. We are looking for a family willing to spend time training her, teaching her new things and involving her in activities that allow her remarkable intelligence to shine. An intelligent dog needs more than a place to sleep; she needs opportunities to think, move, explore and learn. Tasha generally gets along well with other dogs, but she could also thrive as the only dog i

About Tasha

What life with Tasha looks like

Tasha is a medium-sized adult border collie dog waiting at SOS Dogs FPCC Oradea in Oradea.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡·πŸ‡΄Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tasha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tasha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs FPCC Oradea handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tasha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tasha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” SOS Dogs FPCC Oradea will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tasha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tasha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs FPCC Oradea early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tasha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
