Tatai Klára

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 13 years

Originally entered: 2015.03.04. Tatai Klara's life did not go well, she returned at the age of 12. In 2015, a shocking story brought her to us, dogwalkers found her emaciated under a car. After they coaxed her out came the first shock, because then a small, underdeveloped, also thin several-weeks-old baby followed. It was evident from her nipples that she was definitely not raising one baby. While the finder's with the mother and the baby were heading towards us, the members of the Help Angel animal welfare association started searching for the other babies. The tracks led to a place inhabited by homeless people, where, due to some argument and police assistance, it was possible to find two more kittens. Klara got into trouble again, although we thought she had been a happy pet dog for almost 10 years. During a report we faced the fact that the emaciated dog in the vacant, junk-filled yard of the property was our Klara. A total of 15 kg! Now we have placed her in safety again and promised her that we will find a new family where she will never be abandoned again, where she will receive enough attention and feel safe for the rest of her life. Very much we want her to experience a happy life in her old age. Once Tatai Klara reaches the proper weight, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, she can be adopted as a family member, with indoor accommodation! 2025. More pictures HERE!

Amíg a mamával és a babával elindultak felénk a megtalálók, addig a Segítő Angyalok Állatvédő Egyesület tagjai elkezdték felkutatni a többi babát. About Tatai Klára

What life with Tatai Klára looks like

Tatai Klára is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

Note from the shelter: History of severe neglect and abandonment, needs patient and loving family

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tatai Klára, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tatai Klára?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tatai Klára on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tatai Klára if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tatai Klára already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tatai Klára isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tatai Klára and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
