« Our little dog is named Roxie, she's a beautiful little Beagle and modestly the most beautiful of all the little dogs! We just celebrated the first anniversary of her adoption. When we got her (adoption from SPA Sud Alpine), she was very shy, she had to be carried, she wouldn't walk. She was terrified of noises, all noises, she hardly slept, she would hide behind the couch. She didn't even dare to explore the house. She has transformed in one year and we have fully appreciated each of her progress. Now she comes to get petted, she greets us when we come back, she loves to run full speed in the garden (she has gotten muscular!!!). She goes in and out as she wants. Before she dared not enter the house and we had to go "hunting for the dog" in the evening. She's our big baby, she goes everywhere with us. She gets into the car by herself, and she loves watching the landscape. Of course, she loves the scratches. You can see on one of the photos her total lack of dignity when it comes to getting some scratches! Her face has changed, she has relaxed her lip! She is very sociable with the friends she meets on walks, she already knew the codes of good canine behavior! She is very gentle and kind, she has not an ounce of aggression. She is very sensitive, you must not scold her. We are teaching her basic commands, I confess that it works better if you have dry kibble but she sits, gives the paw, and learns to go to the basket and follow us. When we are outside she always stays by our side, she always hopes that we will come to play. She is no longer afraid of balls, before she didn't play with them because she was too scared. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your actions in favor of these animals and for allowing Roxie to have a beautiful retirement and to adopt us. For us it's a wonderful adventure, which is only beginning! We know she remains very shy with new people, but she is gradually gaining confidence and we can't wait to see how she will evolve further. « Notre toutoune s’appelle Roxie, c’est une magnifique petite Beagle et c’est modestement la plus belle des toutounes ! Nous avons justement fêté l’anniversaire des 1 an de son adoption. Quand nous l’avons eue (adoption à la SPA Sud Alpine) elle était très peureuse, il fallait la porter, elle ne marchait pas. Elle était terrifiée par les bruits, tous les bruits, elle dormait à peine, elle se cachait derrière le canapé. Elle n’osait même pas explorer la maison. Elle s’est transformée depuis 1 an et nous avons pleinement apprécié chacun de ses progrès. Désormais elle vient chercher les caresses, elle nous fait la fête quand on rentre, adore courir à fond de train dans le jardin (elle s’est musclée !!!). Elle rentre et sort comme elle veut. Avant elle n’osait pas rentrer dans la maison et il fallait aller « à la chasse au toutou » le soir. C’est notre gros bébé, elle va partout avec nous. Elle monte dans la voiture toute seule, et elle adore regarder le paysage. Elle adore bien sûr les gratouilles de bidou. Vous pourrez voir sur une des photos son absence totale de dignité quand il s’agit d’obtenir quelques gratouilles ! Même son visage a changé, elle s’est décrispée de la babine ! Elle est très sociable avec les copains qu’elle croise en balade, elle connaissait déjà les codes de bonne conduite canine ! Elle est toute douce et gentille, elle n’a pas une once d’agressivité. Elle est très sensible, il ne faut surtout pas la gronder. Nous lui apprenons les ordres de base, je vous avoue que ça marche toujours mieux si on a des croquettes mais elle s’assoit, donne la patte, et apprend à aller au panier et à nous suivre. Quand on est dehors elle reste toujours à côté de nous, elle espère toujours qu’on vienne jouer. Elle n’a plus peur des balles, avant elle ne jouait pas avec car elle en avait trop peur. Nous vous remercions tous du fond du cœur pour vos actions en faveur de ces animaux et d’avoir permis à Roxie de prendre une belle retraite et de nous adopter. Pour nous c’est une merveilleuse aventure, qui ne fait que commencer ! Nous savons qu’elle reste très timide avec les nouvelles têtes, mais elle prend peu à peu confiance et nous nous languissons de voir comment elle va encore évoluer.
