Testimonial from CALI's adoptive family Posted on February 14, 2018 June 2021 by Brigit CALI adopted at 5 Months in 2016 Adorable kitten saved from certain death who found a wonderful adoptive family with already a cat friend in the house Her story: Cali was saved from a wild abandonment on the street... There were 5 kittens to start with but unfortunately, only two survived. The others died, victims of abuse. They had been found in a closed bag in front of a volunteer's home. We adopted her when she was 5 months old... there was already another cat in the house, Mya, also adopted through the Drancy Cat School. At first it was difficult but after three weeks the two were already sleeping together. The testimonial from her adoptive family: Today Cali is very affectionate with me (I am like her mom). She has really gotten used to us. In the morning she jumps on the bed to give me hugs and several kisses on my lips with her wet nose... She is also a real little princess, wagging her tail like a dog when she is happy, and running when I call her to see me. In the evening when I come home as soon as I open the door she sits on the mat to be sure to be the first to say hello and give me hugs. She loves to play cat or hide-and-seek with Mya and take naps every afternoon on the fleece blanket. She is very, very curious... as soon as I come home with groceries she goes straight into the bags or goes to check the cabinets;o) A cat what... She watches us all day long and is eager to try her cardboard box when I make her a little house, like a child.

What life with Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI looks like

Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at École du Chat de Drancy in France.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

How do I contact the shelter about Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. École du Chat de Drancy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — École du Chat de Drancy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with École du Chat de Drancy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Témoignage de la famille d’adoption de CALI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
