Testimonial from the adoption family of the cat LENA Posted on February 19, 2019 January 27, 2020 by Brigit NIKITA - renamed LENA by her adoptive family, adopted at 2 years old Another beautiful testimonial as we love! The arrival of Léna in her new family: Léna (Ex-Nikita) arrived at our home on April 1st, now a little over a year ago. She was 15 months old and already had a long history behind her. Noisette, one of her kittens, had also been taken in by the association and found a new home quickly. April 1st 2017 remains a very nice date, the day we welcomed a lovely ball of fur with beautiful green eyes. Of course Léna had to get used to a new environment after being spoiled by Véronique (Foster family for the association) who had taken good care of her after a small surgical intervention. How she managed to charm her new family and integrate without difficulties: It didn't take long for our little feline to get used to things, find all the cozy places to rest and sleep, get used to her new environment and us of course! Léna is very hungry. We couldn't resist her little face but recently had to slightly restrict the lady to avoid weight gain... She also loves to play. Seeing her constantly come running at full speed when I make the beds to "stop" me by slipping under the sheets or blanket is irresistible. Not to mention the straws she likes to hide under the carpet! There's only one enemy left: the vacuum cleaner. As soon as it comes out of its closet, she runs under a bed... And then there are the cuddle moments, those moments of calm where everything seems to stop to enjoy only the moment, the tenderness, the purring, the little headbutts. It is often like this that Léna comes to wake us up when she thinks it's time to get up. Another happy conclusion on a super testimonial.... What else to say, except that Léna has changed our daily life and she has her place with us. So thank you to my son Vincent for this adorable gift for his mom! Signed: Nicole ... and Léna !! PHOTOS OF LÉNA in her adoptive family .. too happy! Go up THE STORY OF LÉNA / NIKITA BEFORE HER ADOPTION, within our association: Young ginger cat with beautiful green eyes, Nikita was reported living outside with her litter. By the time the association could intervene, most of the kittens had already disappeared. Only a small male ginger (Noisette) remained. The association thought they were dealing with a wild cat, but Nikita proved to be extremely sociable. She is affectionate, purrs, plays, comes looking for caresses and naturally settled into her foster family without the slightest hesitation. Then it was out of the question to release Nikita after her spaying, this lovely cat is much better off on a couch than in the filthy basements where she was hiding. Nikita loves humans but does not really like her own kind. A home where she would be the only princess and where humans would be sufficiently present would be ideal for her.

How do I contact the shelter about Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. École du Chat de Drancy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — École du Chat de Drancy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with École du Chat de Drancy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Témoignage de la famille d’adoption du chat LENA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
