Thankfully, he was able to leave quickly and can now enjoy many happy years of freedom with his new dog friend. His story: He was brought to the public shelter in Bistrita by the Dog Catchers. It is likely that Terry was caught on the street while searching for food. In the shelter, he showed himself to be very calm and somewhat sad. Which breeds are mixed in with Terry cannot be said for sure, but we cannot rule out herding dog genes; he might be a Mioritic-Mix. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced home for Terry that already has experience with these characteristics or is willing to deal with them and above all brings the optimal conditions. Herding dogs are independent personalities that require the owner to have consistency and empathy and the ability to deal with an intelligent, independent acting dog. They bring many great qualities but are not command receivers like, for example, retrievers. People who already have experience with herding dogs do not want other breeds anymore because they are very loyal and faithful companions. They have a very calm and gentle nature but are also very vigilant. Terry is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Terry hatte Glück und konnte bereits in sein neues Zuhause reisen! Zum Glück konnte er schnell ausreisen und darf jetzt mit seiner neuen Hundefreundin noch viele schöne Jahre in Freiheit genießen. Seine Geschichte: Er wurde von den Dog Catchern in das öffentliche Shelter in Bistrita gebracht. Vermutlich wurde Terry auf der Strasse eingefangen, als er auf der Suche nach Futter war. Im Shelter zeigte er sich sehr ruhig und eher traurig. Welche Rassen bei Terry mitgemischt haben kann man nicht sagen, aber auch Herdenschutzhundgene können wir nicht ausschließen, vermutlich ist er ein Mioritic-Mix. Daher suchen wir für Terry ein erfahrenes Zuhause, das bereits Erfahrungen mit diesen Eigenschaften gemacht hat oder dazu bereit ist, sich mit diesen auseinander zu setzen und vor allem die optimalen Bedingungen mitbringt. Herdenschutzhunde sind eigenständige Persönlichkeiten, die Konsequenz und Einfühlungsvermögen durch den Besitzer voraussetzen und die Fähigkeit, sich mit einem intelligenten, selbständig handelnden Hund auseinander setzen zu können. Sie bringen viele tolle Eigenschaften mit, sind aber keine Kommando-Empfänger, wie z.B. Hütehunde. Menschen, die bereits Erfahrung mit Herdenschutzhunden gemacht haben, wollen keine anderen Rassen mehr, da sie sehr treue und loyale Begleiter sind. Sie haben ein sehr ruhiges und sanftes Gemüt, sind aber auch sehr wachsam Terry ist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Er bringt seinen EU-Heimtierausweis mit und kann nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro in seine Familie ziehen. Vielen Dank Heike H.!
