THAÏS &#8211

Mixed Breed · Female

I am named Thaïs. I am two months old, and with my siblings, we were found on a pile of manure when we were only a few weeks old. Every morning, I wake up with one idea in mind—to discover something new. Everything interests me; I am a curious, adventurous, and energetic little dog. Where others hesitate, I charge forward to see what’s happening. In my foster family, I live with two adult dogs. I observe them a lot and try to do everything like them. When they go to explore, I follow. When they play, I want to participate. When they rest... well, I still have a bit of trouble staying still! I am a balanced little dog, not particularly fearful, and I approach new things with a lot of confidence. Of course, I remain a baby, but I move through life with ease. I also love human contact, cuddles, where I can snuggle up against someone, are part of my daily little joys. I have a few very personal passions too. The broom is one of the most fascinating objects in the house. As soon as it appears, it is my duty to participate in the cleaning! I also love collecting treasures. My toys, but also anything that seems to have value... everything ends up carefully transported in my basket. I get along well with other dogs and I am discovering cats little by little and appreciate their presence. I could live in a home where there are already animals. I still have a lot to learn. Cleanliness is not fully mastered. Leash walking, life rules, managing emotions... all of this is part of what I still need to learn. I will make some mistakes, sometimes I will nibble on what I shouldn’t, but growing up is precisely that. I am looking for a family ready to welcome me, with all the energy, spontaneity, and learning that implies. A family who will take the time to gently accompany me. I am a little dog full of life, waiting for the humans with whom to write my whole story. ❤️ Some dogs leave more than a paw print in a home... they transform it, just by their way of being there. About THAÏS &#8211

What life with THAÏS &#8211 looks like

THAÏS &#8211 is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Association Ron'Rhône in Lyon.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting THAÏS &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about THAÏS &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Association Ron'Rhône handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw THAÏS &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt THAÏS &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Association Ron'Rhône will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is THAÏS &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if THAÏS &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Association Ron'Rhône early rather than rehoming privately; they know THAÏS &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
