adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Thali can stay forever! Your story: It's wet, it's loud, it stinks, and the cold seeps through every part of your body. Can you imagine that? That's how it is for our dogs in the public shelter in Baia Mare, especially now that it's winter, and that's also how it is for our charming Thali. When Thali was found near a bus station, she had a large wound with a strong infection on her neck. Our team found her there and naturally took her into our care. This wound has already healed well, and the female dog is doing well. The extremely shy Thali is about 8.5 years old, approximately 50 cm tall, and weighs around 20 kg. The shelter is a big challenge for her. She would love to have a cozy bed in a warm home with people who love her. This thought keeps her going and prevents her from giving up completely. We are sure that as soon as Thali gains trust in her people, she will be a wonderful companion and will quickly understand the rules of a household. After an appropriate settling-in period, a visit to a dog training class that works exclusively with positive reinforcement could be a possibility for her to play with fellow animals and learn the dog ABC with you. This also fosters the bond between human and dog. The lovable female dog needs time to gain trust from people, so you should stand by her with much patience and empathy. She gets along well with her fellow animals. She does not know cats and cannot be tested with them. A foster home could also provide her with a lot of security. Thali travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings her EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive Zeigst du Thali how great people can be and how beautiful life is? Many thanks! Kadda M.! Thanks to you, Thali has a name and the chance to find her family. Thali urgently needs support with her veterinary costs. Here you can find her donation campaign: Stand: 02.01.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Thali

What life with Thali looks like

Thali is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Thali, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Thali?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Thali on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Thali if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Thali already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Thali isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Thali and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
