The 70's Squeakers

Abyssinian Β· Female Β· Young Β· 3 years

Background: Meet Blondie, Stevie, Chrissie and Patti a bonded group of sows. The girls came to Raystede due to their previous owner's change of circumstances. They are all very well bonded and enjoy each other's company - they are looking for a home together. The girls are quite confident and friendly with people. As typical piggies, they are all about the food! Home wanted: They are looking for a home as a group. As a four, they will require a minimum enclosure of at least 13 square feet of unbroken space on one level. They must have plenty of unrestricted hay and a variety of enrichment. They would like to be homed indoors all year around with supervised access to a suitable run on warmer summer days. It would be possible to bond them with other female guinea pigs or a neutered boar. Children: The girls are not used to living with children, however given their calm nature they should be fine to live to sensible children. Adults in the home must be responsible for daily care and handling. Other animals: The group must be re-homed together as they are bonded. Could live with other guinea pigs. Will need to be kept separate from other pets in the home. Additional needs: Chrissie is missing her right eye due to an old injury, this does not bother her or affect her quality of life. Blondie is also currently undergoing veterinary treatment for hay poke and will be ready for rehoming once she has recovered. About The 70's Squeakers

What life with The 70's Squeakers looks like

The 70's Squeakers is a young adult abyssinian cat waiting at Raystede Centre in Ringmer.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting The 70's Squeakers, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about The 70's Squeakers?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Raystede Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw The 70's Squeakers on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt The 70's Squeakers if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Raystede Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is The 70's Squeakers already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if The 70's Squeakers isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Raystede Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know The 70's Squeakers and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
