The Space Litter

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Meet Nova and her four brothers, Rocket, Astro, Comet and Cosmo! This adorable group of kittens are now ready to begin their search for loving forever homes. Full of energy and curiosity, they spend their days racing around together, chasing toys, and getting up to all the usual kitten mischief. Whether they're pouncing on their favourite toy mice or turning an empty cardboard box into a spaceship, there's never a dull moment when these five are around! After a busy day of adventures, Nova and her brothers enjoy nothing more than curling up together in a cosy bed for a well-earned nap, or finding a sunny spot to sit and watch the world go by. These kittens are looking for homes where they will receive plenty of love, attention and opportunities for play as they continue to grow and develop. They could live with children who are familiar with cats and may be able to share their home with another cat following gradual introductions. It is unknown how they would react to dogs, but may be able to live with a cat-friendly dog. They can be adopted together or individually. Please note: We cannot reserve individual kittens, appointments are offered on a first come, first served basis.

About The Space Litter

What life with The Space Litter looks like

The Space Litter is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at USPCA.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting The Space Litter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about The Space Litter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. USPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw The Space Litter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt The Space Litter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — USPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is The Space Litter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if The Space Litter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with USPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know The Space Litter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
