Baby Girl

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 2 years

Baby Girl came into our care after her owner was sadly no longer able to look after her. After spending some time with our Animal Care Team, she has settled in well and is now ready to find a loving forever home of her own. Baby Girl is a gentle and quiet-natured cat who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves curling up in a cosy bed for a snooze and watching the world go by. While she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, once she has had time to build her confidence, she is incredibly affectionate and enjoys human company, fuss, and cuddles. She is looking for a calm, settled home where she can take things at her own pace and continue to come out of her shell. A patient family who can provide plenty of comfortable spots to relax and lots of love will help her truly flourish. We are unsure how Baby Girl would react to other pets in the home, but she may be able to live with another friendly cat or a calm, cat-friendly dog, subject to careful introductions. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who will reward your patience with plenty of affection, Baby Girl could be the perfect addition to your family.

About Baby Girl

What life with Baby Girl looks like

Baby Girl is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at USPCA.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Baby Girl, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baby Girl?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. USPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baby Girl on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baby Girl if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — USPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baby Girl already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baby Girl isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with USPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baby Girl and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
