Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this animal now! Adoption requirements Adoption process Request this dog now! Thea is a charming, small and innocent puppy. She was found with her three siblings Aponi, Joacky and Tyko in an abandoned orchard. Far and wide there was no person who wanted to take care of the little puppies. Therefore, they were brought to a private shelter in Baia Mare. Soon after, the four puppies were diagnosed with the life-threatening parvo virus and their survival was in doubt. But Thea and her siblings are real little fighters and are now on the road to recovery. Thea is a beautiful puppy girl who enjoys being petted and cuddled and loves other dogs. In a stable environment with patient people she will hopefully develop well. The little one is only five months old and still has to learn everything that a good family dog needs to know. Thea has soft, tri-color fur and a beautiful facial pattern, shiny black button eyes and a heart-melting look. With serious eyes she looks into the camera as if she knows that it's about her future. Sweet Thea is expected to reach a medium size and fits into every loving family that wants to show her how beautiful life can be. Right now Thea is simply a wonderful and sweet puppy child who longs for love and attention. But her adolescence will not be much longer and this is also a time for all dogs where loving consistency is needed in their education. Therefore we recommend Thea's new people to work with a positive dog school. Patient and loving training will promote her development and support the bond with her caregivers. Do you perhaps have a warm basket and a place in your heart free for our brave Thea? Then contact us! Also, a loving foster home can save Thea from the sad fate of growing up in a small kennel without sufficient human attention and activities. After a positive preliminary check, the puppy will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and travel to her new home with an EU pet passport against a fee of 500 euros. A special thanks goes to the godmother Anika S., who chose Thea's name. Status: 17.05.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Thea

What life with Thea looks like

Thea is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Thea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Thea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Thea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Thea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Thea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Thea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Thea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
