Thea has been living in a foster home in Saarland since 13.10.2025 with the option of adoption. Update October 2023: Thea continues to make excellent progress in her intensive training, but unfortunately, she has shown health issues that will accompany her throughout her life. Thea has a head tremor and tends to have an uncoordinated gait. Her symptoms tend to worsen with excitement. An MRI and a lumbar puncture (nerve fluid examination) were unremarkable. Due to her limitations, we wish for Thea an ground-level accommodation. To be able to lead a long and as healthy a life as possible, Thea will need support in the form of nutritional supplements and physiotherapy to build muscle. Additionally, we are looking for people with experience in caring for dogs with special needs and a strong character to take Thea in. Thea needs consistent leadership to compensate for her lack of socialization. We therefore also recommend that children in the household should already be teenagers. Thea is good-natured, open, and curious. She is currently in intensive training with our trainer to compensate for her lack of socialization and to lay the groundwork for a good upbringing. Thea came from a seizure and has only known life in a stable with an adjacent run in her previous group (pack living). She has no experience with a leash or basic commands, eating from a bowl, car rides, or the inside of a house. At present, we are already working with the dogs on these basics to make the transition to a new home easier for future owners.

Thea ist seit 13.10.2025 auf eine Pflegestelle ins Saarland gezogen mit Option der Übernahme. Update Okt. 2023: Thea nutzt ihre Zeit im Intensivtraining weiterhin gut aus und macht tolle Fortschritte. Leider haben sich bei ihr gesundheitliche Probleme gezeigt, die sie ihr Leben lang begleiten werden. Thea hat einen Kopftremor und neigt zu einem wackeligen, unkoordiniertem Gangbild. Bei Aufregung verstärken sich ihre Symptome erwartungsgemäß. Ein durchgeführter MRT und eine Liquorpunktion (Untersuchung von Nervenwasser) sind unauffällig. Aufgrund ihrer Einschränkungen wünschen wir uns für Thea eine ebenerdige Unterbringung. Um ein langes und möglichst gesundes Leben führen zu können, braucht Thea in Zukunft Unterstützung in Form von Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln und Physiotherapie zum Aufbau von Muskeln. Des Weiteren suchen wir für Thea Menschen, die Erfahrung im Umgang mit Hunden haben, die besondere Ansprüche haben und charakterstark sind. Thea braucht eine konsequente Führung, um ihre mangelnde Sozialisation auszugleichen. Wir raten deshalb auch dazu, das Kinder im Haushalt bereits im Teenager-Alter sein sollten. Thea ist gut drauf, aufgeschlossen und neugierig. Sie ist aktuell bei unserer Hundetrainerin im intensiv Training, um ihre fehlende Sozialisierung auszugleichen und erste Grundlagen für eine gute Erziehung zu legen. Thea stammt aus einer Sicherstellung und kennt bisher nur das Leben im Stall mit angrenzendem Auslauf in ihrem bisherigen Verband (Rudelhaltung). Sie kennt keine Leine oder die üblichen Grundkommandos, Fressen aus dem Futternapf, Autofahrten, das Innere eines Hauses… Derzeit arbeiten wir bereits mit den Hunden an diesen Grundlagen, um den zukünftigen Haltern eine Übernahme zu erleichtern.
