Some words about BREE female, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, born ca. 3-4 years FreigängerThis cat was found to be highly pregnant and brought to us where she was able to give birth to her three kittens. It's now time for the rambunctious litter to move into a proper home. We named her Bree, and of course, she wishes for a nice home with a freewalk and preferably with one of her kittens, though that's not necessary. Otherwise, she is a very loving and cuddly cat with a slightly damaged eye that will likely be removed during the neutering process. previous cat • next catInterest in the AnimalSimply fill out the form: *This field is required.*This is not a valid name. *This field is required.*This is not a valid email. *This field is required.*This is not a valid phone number. *This field is required.*We protect against spam. About Tierschutzverein

What life with Tierschutzverein looks like

Tierschutzverein is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutz-Verein Kulmbach u. Umgebung e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tierschutzverein, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tierschutzverein?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz-Verein Kulmbach u. Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tierschutzverein on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tierschutzverein if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz-Verein Kulmbach u. Umgebung e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tierschutzverein already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tierschutzverein isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz-Verein Kulmbach u. Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tierschutzverein and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
