adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Tila has found her home! Her story: Here comes Tila, an exceptionally beautiful "purebred" stray, who lives up to her name. Just like a true supermodel, the little Tila already stands out through her strikingly long legs. Currently, she is about 3.5 months old, weighs a delicate 4 kilograms, and is expected to reach an ideal medium size. Tila and her siblings were found under difficult circumstances: alone and completely terrified, the four puppies crouched by the roadside near Fantanele. But these dark days are long behind Tila. Today, she shows herself as a lively puppy that eagerly craves human proximity. As soon as she receives attention, the pack starts to whirl, and she displays her most charming and attentive side. She gets along splendidly with her fellow animals, playing and running puppy-style neck and neck. Whoever decides to take Tila, gets a raw diamond package full of potential, but also a small challenge. As a puppy, she still needs to learn the entire dog ABC – from house training, through being alone, to walking on a leash. Additionally, one should be aware that the sweet puppy phase will be followed by puberty. During this phase, Tila will test her long legs and her own head, which will require a healthy portion of patience, humor, and loving consequences from her people. By now, a visit to dog training classes would be a good idea 😉. Tila is ready to trade the dusty roadside for a soft dog bed. She is looking for people who enjoy actively fostering a young puppy and guiding him with heart through all the fag-end phases until he grows into the confident dream dog that lies within her. Tila travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to her new home, together with her EU companion document. But also a foster home would be the first step in a happy dog life. Many thanks to Svenja, who gave Tila her name and thus an identity. As of: 14.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 14.12.2025

About Tila

What life with Tila looks like

Tila is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tila, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tila?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tila on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tila if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tila already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tila isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tila and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
