Tilda

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Name: Tilda Location: 30539 Hannover Gender: female, spayed Born: approximately June 2016 Character: Single cat, does not get along with other cats. Quiet, very people-oriented and cuddly. Tilda loves the attention of humans and likes to be near you. Tilda is used to being around small children. Special needs/disability: A veterinary examination on April 21, 2026, revealed that she is largely toothless and only has her canine teeth, which have tartar. On the left side of her neck, Tilda has a swelling about the size of a walnut, which can be fully palpated. Heart and lungs were unremarkable. Veterinary advice for dental surgery and removal of the lump. Hello there, I'm the single princess Tilda, a really lovely cat who now unfortunately has to lose her home because one of the children in my family developed a cat hair allergy. This makes all of us here very sad because we were actually such a great team. But unfortunately, it's not possible anymore and I need to find a new home where I can hopefully stay forever. About my background: I am an ex-stray cat who has experienced a lot out there. Unfortunately, not much good, and I must have been involved in some cat fights. The fact is, I don't feel comfortable with other cats and would like to be kept as a single cat. Since 2021, I have already been living as a single cat with my current family, exclusively indoors. And that works very well. I enjoy every petting, but I'm too ticklish on my belly, but everywhere else you are welcome to pet me thoroughly. I have a fresh veterinary check-up and was vaccinated against feline rhinotracheitis and feline panleukopenia. The veterinarian found that I probably need a dental procedure and that the lump on my neck should also be removed at the same time. Once that is done, I can already move in with you. You are welcome to meet me in person in 30539 Hannover. I'm looking forward to your inquiry! Your Tilda *The association acts here only as a placement assistance. About Tilda

What life with Tilda looks like

Tilda is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tilda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tilda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tilda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tilda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tilda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tilda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tilda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
