Tim

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Tim, born in May 2021, is currently listed at 50-55 cm. However, in the photos, he appears more like a medium-sized dog at around 45-50 cm. He is a small treasure, friendly, playful, and lives peacefully in his dog group. Tim likes other dogs, shows balanced social behavior, and brings a pleasant calmness. His left eye shows a slight cloudiness. This does not seem to affect him in everyday life - he moves confidently, plays happily, and shows no uncertainty.Tim is a sweet, uncomplicated dog who quickly adapts and touches with his friendly nature. We wish for people who want to give a gentle, social dog a home or foster placement where he can feel welcome. Will he find a soft and warm bed with you? Tim is neutered and will be vaccinated, chipped, and placed with a protection contract after a positive pre-check.General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so we can reassess their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines, and new impressions - can also behave differently. This is normal and is part of any change process. Many dogs even open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should provide guidance and show how the dog presents himself in the shelter - and what potential he has.We are convinced: with patience, understanding, and a loving environment, every dog can find his way and develop positively.

About Tim

What life with Tim looks like

Tim is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tim, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tim?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tim on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tim if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tim already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tim isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tim and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
