Adopt Tina T

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Tina—waits at the animal shelter in Hungary - 🐾 Tina – little heart searching for her happinessTina's story began not easily. She would wander alone through the streets and chase after a Roma family heading to the store. Unfortunately, nobody cared for her. Eventually, she was rescued by local animal shelters from the middle of the street, where she was running for her little life between the cars. But now she is safe. ❤️ And for the first time, Tina can simply be a puppy.Tina is an enchanting mixed-breed girl, born in January. She is about 32 cm tall and weighs around 4.25 kg – a small, delicate puppy-girl with a big heart. She loves people above all else. Tina is open, friendly, and full of trust, as if she could sense that everything will finally be okay now. This type of puppy immediately touches one and does not let go. Her little tail is naturally short; perhaps she was born this way – making her even more unique and special.Tina lives peacefully with other dogs and shows typical juvenile playfulness, curiosity, and zest for life. She discovers a bit more of the world every day, carrying so much hope within her. From May 17th, she could travel to Germany and is now looking for people who will lovingly accompany her, provide her safety, and show her how wonderful a real home can be.Where are the people with whom she can explore the world?Tina can be adopted either as an individual dog or into an already existing, friendly dog household. We are happy to answer your questions.

About Tina T

What life with Tina T looks like

Tina T is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. in Nordwalde.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tina T, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tina T?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tina T on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tina T if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tina T already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tina T isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tina T and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
