Tobin's owner fell seriously ill about a year ago and was no longer able to care for him. His family was also unable to take in Tobin. So he ended up on a rooftop terrace, where he received only little attention and care. Eventually, a man named Tobin took him in and brought him to Melampo. Tobin was tested negative for Mediterranean diseases at the vet. Unfortunately, his testicles are neutered, and he cannot be rehomed to Switzerland. We suspect that Tobin once had a bad experience with a hose. Therefore, he dislikes it and barks when the hose is used nearby to clean. When Tobin came to the animal shelter, he was initially unsettled, fearful, and sad. He did not understand why he suddenly found himself at this strange place. Despite his difficult experiences in his previous life, he has maintained his good character. After a short time, he overcame his initial fear. With the volunteer helpers, he now shows himself to be open, trusting, very affectionate, and clingy. He also gets along well with other dogs. He is social, does not react to provocations, and gets along well with his fellow animals. Toward people or other dogs, he has never shown any aggression. Tobin travels comfortably in the car and walks well on a leash. Now, this friendly and grateful dog is looking for a home where he will finally receive the attention, security, and affection that he has so long lacked. We hope that Tobin will soon have his chance, even though he cannot be rehomed to Switzerland.

Tobins Besitzer erkrankte vor etwa einem Jahr schwer und konnte sich nicht mehr um ihn kümmern. Auch die Familie war nicht in der Lage, Tobin aufzunehmen. So landete er schließlich auf einer Dachterrasse, wo er nur wenig Aufmerksamkeit und Fürsorge bekam. Schliesslich nahm sich ein Mann Tobin an und brachte ihn nach Melampo. Tobin wurde beim Tierarzt negativ auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten getestet. Leider ist seine Rute kupiert und er darf nicht in die Schweiz vermittelt werden. Wir vermuten, dass Tobin einmal eine schlechte Erfahrung mit einem Wasserschlauch gemacht hat. Deshalb mag er ihn nicht und bellt, wenn in seiner Nähe mit dem Schlauch gereinigt wird.Als Tobin ins Tierheim kam, war er zunächst verunsichert, ängstlich und traurig. Er verstand nicht, warum er plötzlich an diesem fremden Ort war. Trotz der schwierigen Erfahrungen in seinem bisherigen Leben hat er sich seinen guten Charakter bewahrt. Schon nach kurzer Zeit konnte er seine anfängliche Angst überwinden. Mit den freiwilligen Helfern zeigt er sich inzwischen offen, vertrauensvoll, sehr liebevoll und anhänglich.Auch mit anderen Hunden kommt Tobin gut zurecht. Er ist sozial, reagiert nicht auf Provokationen und versteht sich gut mit seinen Artgenossen. Gegenüber Menschen oder anderen Hunden hat er zu keinem Zeitpunkt Aggressivität gezeigt. Tobin fährt problemlos im Auto mit und läuft gut an der Leine. Nun sucht dieser freundliche und dankbare Hund ein Zuhause, in dem er endlich die Aufmerksamkeit, Sicherheit und Zuneigung bekommt, die ihm so lange gefehlt hat. Wir hoffen, dass Tobin bald seine Chance bekommt, auch wenn er nicht in die Schweiz einreisen darf.
