Tony

Labrador Retriever · Male · Young · 1 year

Hello everyone! 🐾 Let me introduce myself: my name is Tony I’m a beautiful Labrador-type puppy born in December 2025. I will grow into a medium-sized dog (I currently weigh about 12.2 kg). I’m a very affectionate little dog, I get along well with everyone, and I’m always cheerful. I love being around people, playing, and receiving lots of cuddles. I’m full of energy and curiosity, discovering something new about the world around me every day. My story started in a difficult way: I was rescued when I was just 3 days old and raised with a bottle thanks to the love and care of those who didn’t look away. Sadly, some of my siblings didn’t make it, but I kept fighting, and today I’m ready to find my forever family. I’m very sweet and friendly, I get along well with other dogs and with small children. Now I dream of a loving home where I can grow up safely and become a loyal companion for life. 🩷 I am currently in Albania and can travel for a good adoption or a safe foster placement throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. If you’d like to give me a chance, I’m here waiting for you. 👉 Fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negativefor Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Dirofilaria, brucellosis and Leishmania. 👉 Adoption only with contract, adoption fee and home check (RBU included). 📝 Foster/adoption form: 📞 🇮🇹 Chiara (WhatsApp) – 🇬🇧 Chiara (WhatsApp only) – 🇩🇪 Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Tony

What life with Tony looks like

Tony is a medium-sized young adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tony, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tony?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tony on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tony if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tony already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tony isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tony and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
