Toon

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 5 months

Tim and Toon, both black and white. Toon has a black chin. Date of birth: 24/05/2026. Both male. Available immediately. Neutered/spayed: yes. Microchip and registered: yes. Vaccinated: 2x. These cats are located in Brugge Assebroek. We are looking for a home for these cats where they can go outside in a safe, enclosed garden or courtyard, in a safe environment if they wish. The kittens will only be placed together as an inseparable duo. Character and background of the cat: Tim and Toon are two super sweet domestic kittens. They were found on the street and Tim had severe diarrhea. His belly was infected with worms. After a good deworming treatment spread over several weeks, Tim is completely cured. Toon also had to receive the medication and is therefore also free of worms in his belly. In the meantime, both kittens have started growing well and are enjoying their life indoors. They are allowed to roam around in our foster family with the other cats. Tim is curious and quickly feels at ease. Toontje looks a bit more like a cat from the tree. He is a bit more cautious. But once he knows the surroundings and his people, he will feel at ease. Tim and Toon are fun playful kittens. They play with balls, scraps and everything they can find. After playing, they look for a place to sleep. Sometimes together in the basket or somewhere on the chair. Together, these two little brothers are looking for a nice home to grow into even sweeter kittens. All cats are flea-free, wormed, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and registered. Duos are not separated. We ask the usual contribution in the veterinary costs of 210 euros per cat because both vaccinations have already been given. Adoption procedure: First, a telephone call is made to see if there is a good match between you and the cat, then an appointment can be made for a visit so that you can get to know each other. When adopting, an adoption contract is signed and the adoption contribution is paid when the cat is picked up. Every cat leaves with a European passport. For more information about the cats or availability, you can contact Mia by phone on 0479241321 during working days between 10 and 20 hours and on weekends between 10 and 20 hours. Please leave a message with your name, phone number and which cat you are calling if the line is not answered. Calls outside these hours, text messages or WhatsApp messages will not be answered. Please do not e-mail for this either. www.tkattenkompas.be

About Toon

What life with Toon looks like

Toon is a kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Vzw tKattenkompas in Belgium.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Toon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Toon?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vzw tKattenkompas handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Toon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Toon if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vzw tKattenkompas will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Toon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Toon isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vzw tKattenkompas early rather than rehoming privately; they know Toon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
