Adopt Tracy

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Tracy was found on the streets of Spain together with her two siblings when the kittens were only about 20 days old. The three cat kittens were lovingly raised with a bottle and later came to an animal shelter. While her siblings have already found a home, Tracy was still waiting for her big luck. In mid-May, she finally traveled to one of our foster homes in Berlin. Tracy was born on 03.03.2025. The beautiful young cat is very people-oriented, clingy, and cuddly. Tracy loves the company of her humans above all and actively seeks contact. She enjoys cuddles fully and also easily accepts being picked up. Throughout, she shows her gentle and friendly nature - she does not know scratching or biting. With her open, loving character, Tracy is also perfectly suitable for cat beginners or families with understanding children. For Tracy we wish a loving home with an approximately same-age, social cat, because playing, running around and cuddling together is even more fun. Ideally, a spacious apartment with enough space to run, climb and play, or a house with a garden in a quiet, traffic-free area. If suitable for apartment living, a secure, cat-safe netted balcony or terrace should be available. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Tracy

What life with Tracy looks like

Tracy is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Hundehilfe Spanien e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tracy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tracy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundehilfe Spanien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tracy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tracy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundehilfe Spanien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tracy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tracy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundehilfe Spanien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tracy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
