adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Tudor has found a home! His story: Our dear Strubbel Tudor was allowed to travel to a foster home last year. There he settled in well. He is the leader of a small Mops dog pack and feels very comfortable. If the hustle and bustle gets to him, he makes a clear, correct announcement and retreats for a while. He is allowed to do this because he is a bit older and needs his quiet phases. Tudor is very open and friendly towards people. He enjoys every pat and is a very loyal male dog. He has also formed a friendship with the grandchild of his foster parents. What still seems to be missing from the happy Wuschel's life is his own home. A garden would be great, where he can sunbathe and keep an eye on his people. We were able to free Tudor from the public shelter in Zalau and save him from certain death. He then lived for a while in a private shelter and was allowed to travel to his foster home last year. The handsome male dog is estimated to be about 8 years old and stands about 52 cm tall. We do not know his past, but we can still give him a happy future. We wish for people who are convinced by positive training methods and would like to take Tudor by the paw and show him the beautiful world. He is looking forward to beautiful excursions into nature, regular contact with his fellow animals, and quality time and cuddles with his people. Our Tudor is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings his EU pet passport with him and can be adopted even after a stay in a foster home. He would also be happy to have a foster home. Will you give Tudor the ticket to happiness? Many thanks Silvie S.! You have given Tudor a name and thus an identity! Date: 16.02.

About Tudor

What life with Tudor looks like

Tudor is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tudor, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tudor?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tudor on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tudor if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tudor already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tudor isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tudor and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
