Tula

Female · Young · 1 year

Top of the morning to you Tula! She will give her new humans a reason to be happy everyday by simply being the high energy, playful, love bug she is. Tula is truly the life and soul of the party she is full of energy and enjoys playing alone or with her humans. She is a clear girl and loves to play fetch with her cookie and little mouse toy, bringing it back to her favourite humans to throw. She gets very excited meowing in anticipation. She is a wonderful cat to be around and brings joy to all she meets. Tula can be nervous when you first meet her but if you offer some tasty treats, you'll have made a friend for life! Once she knows you she is a soppy girl who loves a fuss (especially chin tickles!) Once settled she shows off her amazing quirky personality. She also loves being goofy, rolling around showing her belly. She loves to play fetch with her little mouse toy, Tula would be best suited living with a sensible teenager. She will also need to be settled into a quiet spare room and have lots of cosy places to hide away while settling. Tula would benefit from having a permanent litter tray kept down for her in a quiet and private area of the home. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Tula, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About Tula

What life with Tula looks like

Tula is a medium-sized young adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tula, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tula?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tula on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tula if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tula already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tula isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tula and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
