Tulip and Lily

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Lily (Tabby, 9 months old) and Tulip (Tuxedo, 2-3 years old) are a truly bonded pair, they are a package deal and like to do almost everything together. We like to think that Tulip is Lily's emotional support cat, if Lily is feeling anxious she'll often look to Tulip for a confidence boost. During their time in foster care, both girls have grown in confidence and will happily zoom around together and play with their new toys. Once they're tuckered out, the girls will curl up together for a much needed nap. Lily in particular has a thing for getting under the covers on chilly nights, she will turn herself into a burrito or 'purrito'. We have discovered that Tulip has a heart condition and kidney issues. Tulip will need to remain on daily medication for the rest of her life and this financial commitment needs to be carefully considered. The vet has recommended Tulip has an annual heart scan to monitor her condition. We don't know how long Tulip will remain healthy for, there is no known time scale. It could be months or years, but currently Tulip is stable and happy. We want to find a loving home where Tulip can live out her remaining time with Lily by her side. We want to give these girls the chance to remain together for as long as possible, so we are looking for a very special person, someone who will give them the quiet, loving home they so very much deserve. We understand that this is a big ask, but we know a kind and loving family is out there and willing to take these girls into their heart and home. Even with the prognosis for Tulip, we know the perfect home is out there waiting for them. Don't hesitate to get in touch should you want any further information about the girls or to disscuss Tulips medical needs. If you are interested in giving Tulip and Lily a safe and loving forever home please complete our application form below or leave your name, address, phone number, email address and some details about yourself and your home to:Email: Tulip and Lily's requirements:

About Tulip and Lily

What life with Tulip and Lily looks like

Tulip and Lily is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tulip and Lily, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tulip and Lily?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tulip and Lily on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tulip and Lily if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tulip and Lily already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tulip and Lily isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA North Wiltshire (Oak & Furrows) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tulip and Lily and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
