Tuva 2

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Beautiful 5 year old GWP Tuva is looking for a new home due to her owners having a change of circumstances, making it impossible for her to stay with them. She has been living with a male GSP very happily and with a female who they were mostly okay together but they did had some fallings out. So we would be looking for a home with a male for company or an only dog home. Tuva is a happy friendly girl who has not shown any aggression towards anyone while in this home but in a previous home where she stayed briefly and was young herself, there was an incident where she did show dominance to a young child. Tuva loves fuss and attention her owner says she’s happiest when having someone patting her head and showing her affection. Tuva is currently living in a kennel and is always very clean, she will ask to be let out of her run so that she can go to the toilet. She’s had a very large garden to play and hunt in and while in the garden she has a good recall, out on walks she is happier to go off and chase scents using her high prey drive, usually foxes or squirrels. A secure garden will be needed because she can be quite determined to get to them. Tuva we think is scared of lorries and reacts by barking when she sees one, even if she’s traveling in the car, apart from her dislike of lorries she’s a good traveller and loves to go off on adventures. She does also like to bark at pigeons when they are around her kennel and in the garden. She’s walks well on a slip lead and enjoys her walks, her owner thinks that she might chase livestock even though she hasn’t encountered any while with them, it’s the same for cats, they haven’t seen her with a cat but seeing how excited she gets either squirrels they think she would probably chase. She is a happy, healthy, neutered girl who loves company and wants to be near you, but she has been left for several hours in her kennel with the other dogs and more recently since they both passed, by herself. If you feel you could offer this beautiful girl the attention that she loves please contact us. Tuva is currently in the Essex area and will be rehomed with her Adoption Contract and her 5 weeks free Agria Insurance. GSP Rescue UK Terms and Conditions apply. 💜🐾🐾

About Tuva 2

What life with Tuva 2 looks like

Tuva 2 is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at GSP Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tuva 2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tuva 2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. GSP Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tuva 2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tuva 2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — GSP Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tuva 2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tuva 2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with GSP Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tuva 2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
