Adopt Tylor - Cane Corso- Rottweiler- Mix

Cane Corso · Male · Adult · 5 years

Born: around 2021, at the animal shelter since: 31.07.2023, male, neutered. Tylor has been through a lot for his age. Having passed through several hands, he was likely beaten and unwanted, ultimately ending up with us at the our shelter. Tylor is a Rottweiler-Cane Corso mixed breed, thus classified as a category 2 listed dog according to the Bavarian state dog ordinance. These dogs can be rehomed in Bavaria under compliance with legal regulations. In general, Tylor is a great dog and a typical representative of his breeds: He masters basic commands and is leash-trained. With strangers, he is initially reserved. He is compatible with other animals, except for dominant male dogs. He communicates well "dog-wise." He knows how to use his strength. He needs consistent behavior but not pressure. Under pressure, he "explodes." If he feels insecure or too much pressure is applied, he bites the leash, and in case of doubt, also his people, and needs help to get out of this spiral. He pinches and tugs at clothing. He must be led with a muzzle. He lacks frustration tolerance. He needs guidance, consistency, and calm. We are therefore looking for people with breed experience who are steadfast and not afraid of the work with Tylor. Children and other animals should not live in his new home. Attending dog training classes is essential for Tylor. Tylor is currently being cared for outside the animal shelter. Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
