Vaiana is an energetic and determined little lady with a big personality who is looking for a patient and cat-friendly home with good outdoor opportunities where she can explore once she feels safe. Hello, my name is Vaiana. I am a lively lady with a fast pace, quick paws, and my head a bit tilted when something catches my interest. I like to do things my way, and I need some time before I let new people into my space completely. Play is very important for me. I love to run after balls, especially ping pong balls, and I like strings, fish, and mechanical toys. I enjoy playing the most with my people, and play is also the best way to build trust and a relationship with me. When I get bored, I can come up with ways to entertain myself. I like to sit by the window and watch the birds, and I will probably thrive as an outdoor cat once I feel safe in my home. I need plenty of time to get to know someone before I feel comfortable enough to go out, preferably many months up to a year. I am used to being indoors. I don't like to be confined, picked up, or touched on my belly. During handling, I may nip a little if it gets too much, so it's important to read my signals and respect my boundaries. I would like to be near my people, but without close body contact.
