Valentina

Domestic Shorthair · Female · Young · 1 year

Valentina is a beautiful tabby cat who was rescued along with her four newborn kittens. Thanks to a foster home, she was able to raise them in complete safety and peace of mind, and today all her kittens have been adopted. Now it is her turn to find a home. Since her rescue, Valentina has come a long way. She arrived as a very skittish and nervous cat, but over time she has learnt to live more calmly in her foster home. She currently lives without any problems with other cats, displaying stable and respectful behaviour in her feline community. However, she remains a reserved cat around people. She is not a cat who seeks human contact or regularly enjoys being stroked, and she is not easy to handle. She needs her space and time to feel safe. For this reason, Valentina needs a family with experience of cats, capable of understanding her character, respecting her pace, and offering her a peaceful environment where she can live without pressure. She is not a cat for everyone, but she can be a wonderful companion for someone who sees her for who she is and accepts her with respect and sensitivity. 💛 Valentina just needs a chance… and someone who understands her. 📩 Adoption enquiries: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Valentina

What life with Valentina looks like

Valentina is a small young adult domestic shorthair cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: Reserved cat who doesn't like being petted and is difficult to handle

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Valentina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Valentina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Valentina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Valentina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Valentina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Valentina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Valentina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
