I'm Vili, a black-and-white tomcat. I'm 8 to 9 years old. I'm looking for a new home. Once I feel calm, I let myself be stroked and handled, and I really enjoy the attention. I'm nervous about quick movements and loud noises. I'm looking for a calm home with someone experienced with cats. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in the spring, and my values have now been brought into balance. My values were checked monthly in the spring and most recently in September. The right medication dose has been found, and my thyroid values stay within the reference range. I take my medicine nicely straight from the syringe, but I'll also eat it mixed into any food or treat. An incredibly handsome, big, tabby-coated, one-eyed tomcat named Wille is looking for his very own home! Wille came to the association as a found cat. His second eye was in poor condition, and despite treatment attempts, the eye had to be removed. Luckily, this doesn't bother him. Wille first lived in the animal shelter's cat room, but there the tomcat tried to devour everyone's food 😸 Because Wille was also significantly overweight, he moved to a foster home for a weight-loss diet. In the foster home, his weight has dropped well. At first Wille was quite wary in the foster home, but as trust grew over time, he has started seeking out company to be petted next to someone. Wille isn't a true lap cat, but he loves being petted. Wille is social with cats and has befriended the foster home's own cat, and they often sleep together. Wille is active and playful with a cat companion and also joins in play with people. It would be wonderful if his new home had a cat companion for him! Eating together with a cat companion works, as long as both get their food at the same time. Wille is food-obsessed, so nothing can be left out in view 😸 Wille has been diagnosed with spondylosis in his thoracic spine, and his gabapentin medication goes down nicely mixed into his food. Wille is estimated to be 7 to 8 years old. According to the foster home, Wille is a really wonderful and gentle cat, as long as you first patiently build a bond of trust. Wille has had many teeth removed because of tooth resorption disease, and only three teeth remain. In his new home, you must commit to continuing Wille's weight-loss diet, he must be offered only soft food, and the condition of his three remaining teeth must be checked yearly by a veterinarian. Regarding the spondylosis, Wille must be monitored and his pain medication adjusted as needed. In spondylosis, cartilage and bony bridges form between the vertebrae of a cat's spine. Spondylosis is quite a common ailment in cats, and unfortunately it often goes unnoticed by the owner. In Wille's case, it is good that the necessary examinations have been done and the condition can now be treated. Wille is looking for a home without young children. Wille is frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. Wille doesn't like being picked up, and when that happens he may hiss.

Olen mustavalkoinen poitsu Vili. Iältäni olen 8-9-vuotias. Olen kodinvaihtaja. Rauhallisen hetken tullen annan silittää ja käsitellä itseäni ja nautin huomiosta kovastikin. Jännitän nopeita liikkeitä ja kovia ääniä. Kaipaan rauhalliseen ja kissakokeneeseen kotiin. Minulla on todettu kilpirauhasen liikatoiminta keväällä ja arvot on nyt saatu tasaiseksi. Arvoja kontrolloitiin kuukausittain keväällä ja viimeksi syyskuussa. Oikea lääkeannos on löytynyt, jolla kilpirauhasarvot pysyvät viiterajoissa. Otan lääkkeen nätisti suoraan ruiskusta, mutta syön lääkkeen myös minkä tahansa ruuan tai herkun seassa. Mahdottoman komea, iso, raitapaitainen ja yksisilmäinen kolli Wille etsii ikiomaa kotia! Wille tuli yhdistykselle löytökissana. Sen toinen silmä oli huonossa kunnossa ja hoitoyrityksistä huolimatta silmä jouduttiin poistamaan. Se ei onneksi menoa haittaa. Wille asusteli ensin eläintalon kissalassa, mutta siellä poitsu meinasi ahmia kaikkien ruoat 😸Koska Willellä oli muutoinkin reilusti ylipainoa, poitsu siirtyi sijaiskotiin laihdutuskuurille. Sijaiskodissa paino on tippunut hyvin. Aluksi sijaiskodissa Wille oli melko varuillaan, mutta ajan myötä luottamuksen kasvaessa Wille on alkanut hakeutua viereen rapsuteltavaksi. Wille ei ole varsinainen sylikissa, mutta rakastaa rapsutuksia. Wille on kissasosiaalinen ja onkin ystävystynyt sijaiskodin oman kissan kanssa ja ne nukkuvat usein yhdessä. Wille on aktiivinen ja leikkisä kissakaverin kanssa ja lähtee leikkiin myös ihmisen kanssa. Olisi hienoa, jos uudessa kodissa olisi Willelle kissakaveri! Ruokailu yhdessä kissakaverin kanssa onnistuu, kunhan molemmat osapuolet saavat ruoan yhtä aikaa. Wille on perso ruoalle, joten näkyville ei voi jättää mitään 😸Willellä on todettu spondyloosia rintarangassa ja gabapentiinilääke menee hienosti ruoan seassa. Wille on arviolta 7-8-vuotias. Sijaiskodin mukaan Wille on oikein mahtava ja kiltti kissa, kunhan ensin rauhassa rakentaa luottamussuhteen. Willeltä on poistettu paljon hampaita hammassyöpymätaudin takia ja hampaita on jäljellä enää kolme. Uudessa kodissa pitää sitoutua Willen laihiksen jatkamiseen, sille pitää tarjota vain pehmeää ruokaa ja kolmen jäljelle jääneen hampaan kuntoa täytyy tarkistaa vuosittain eläinlääkärillä. Spondyloosin osalta Willeä pitää seurata ja tarvittaessa säätää kipulääkitystä. Spondyloosissa kissan selkärangan nikamien väliin muodostuu rusto- ja luusiltoja. Kissojen spondyloosi on melko yleinen vaiva, joka jää valitettavan usein omistajalta huomaamatta. Willen kohdalla onkin hyvä, että tarvittavat tutkimukset on tehty ja vaivaa voidaan nyt hoitaa. Wille etsii kotia, jossa ei ole pieniä lapsia. Wille säikkyy kovia ääniä ja äkkinäisiä liikkeitä. Wille ei tykkää syliin nostamisesta ja silloin se saattaa sähähtää
