Viola

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

I am a lovely girl named Viola. I am a rehoming cat. Approximately 7-8 years old. At first I am wary, but I have become very much more confident. At mealtimes I happily wind around your legs, and in calm moments I enjoy being petted. Just approach me calmly. I often enjoy being up high in my cat tree, from where I look at you with my gentle green eyes. I have been diagnosed with tooth resorption, and a few of my poor-condition teeth have been removed. An oral check at the veterinarian is ahead, once a year.

Olen ihana tyttö Viola. Olen kodinvaihtaja. Arviolta 7-8-vuotias. Olen alussa varautunut, mutta olen rohkaistunut kovasti. Tulen ruoka-aikoina iloisesti pyörimään jaloissa ja rauhallisina hetkinä nautin rapsutuksista. Kunhan lähestyt minua rauhallisesti. Usein viihdyn korkealla kissapuussa josta katselen sinua lempeillä vihreillä silmilläni. Minulla on todettu hammassyöpymää ja minulta poistettu muutama huonokuntoinen hammas. Edessä on suun tarkistus eläinlääkärillä vuosittain.

About Viola

What life with Viola looks like

Viola is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at KSEY — Kouvolan Seudun Eläinsuojeluyhdistys in Koria.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇮Adopting from Finland

Finnish shelters require a home visit and an adoption contract. Animals are vetted; the EU pet passport covers cross-border travel within the bloc.

Frequently asked

Adopting Viola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Viola?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. KSEY — Kouvolan Seudun Eläinsuojeluyhdistys handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Viola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Viola if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — KSEY — Kouvolan Seudun Eläinsuojeluyhdistys will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Viola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Viola isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with KSEY — Kouvolan Seudun Eläinsuojeluyhdistys early rather than rehoming privately; they know Viola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FI). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
