Vivi was found at the age of two months beside a road and brought to Melampo. At the time, she couldn't walk properly. The veterinary examination revealed a bruise in the abdominal area. Fortunately, no internal organs were injured. The X-ray also raised suspicion of a fracture in the right hip and pelvis. Due to her very young age, it was difficult to confirm the fractures conclusively. For this same reason, surgery was not recommended. Since then, Vivi has been regularly monitored by a specialist veterinarian specializing in orthopedics and traumatology. The most recent examination report confirmed a fracture of the right femoral neck that has healed in a malaligned position, as well as several healed pelvic fractures (in the right pubic and ischial regions). Vivi experiences no pain, and the function of both hind limbs and the pelvis is excellent. Therefore, surgical treatment is currently not recommended. She can lead a completely normal life. Since Vivi will grow into a large adult dog and is still experiencing rapid growth, she should continue to be regularly checked by an orthopedist to detect and minimize any potential later complications at an early stage. Vivi is a charming little dog. She is very friendly, playful, and affectionate. She is exceptionally loving toward people and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs at the shelter. We hope that Vivi will be discovered by the right people who will accompany her throughout her further development. Vivi wurde im Alter von zwei Monaten neben einer Strasse gefunden und nach Melampo gebracht. Sie konnte damals nicht richtig laufen. Bei der tierärztlichen Untersuchung wurde ein Bluterguss im Bauchbereich festgestellt. Glücklicherweise waren keine Bauchorgane verletzt. Auf dem Röntgenbild bestand zudem der Verdacht auf einen Bruch der rechten Hüfte sowie des Beckens. Aufgrund ihres sehr jungen Alters war es schwierig, die Frakturen eindeutig zu bestätigen. Aus demselben Grund wurde auch von einer Operation abgeraten. Seitdem wird Vivi regelmässig von einem Fachtierarzt für Orthopädie und Traumatologie kontrolliert. Im aktuellsten Untersuchungsbericht wurde eine in Fehlstellung verheilte Fraktur des rechten Schenkelhalses sowie mehrere verheilte Beckenfrakturen (rechter Schambein- und Sitzbeinbereich) bestätigt. Vivi hat keine Schmerzen, und die Funktion beider Hintergliedmassen sowie des Beckens ist sehr gut. Deshalb wird derzeit keine operative Behandlung empfohlen. Sie kann ein ganz normales Leben führen. Da Vivi als ausgewachsener Hund gross wird und sich noch im schnellen Wachstum befindet, sollte sie weiterhin regelmäßig von einem Orthopäden kontrolliert werden, um mögliche spätere Komplikationen frühzeitig zu erkennen und zu minimieren. Vivi ist eine bezaubernde Hündin. Sie ist sehr freundlich, verspielt und anhänglich. Sie ist Menschen gegenüber ausgesprochen liebevoll und versteht sich auch hervorragend mit den anderen Hunden im Tierheim. Wir hoffen, dass Vivi von den richtigen Menschen entdeckt wird, welche sie bei ihrer weiteren Entwicklung begleiten.
