Vix

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Name: Vix Gender: Male Breed: mixed breed Born: ca. 09.04.2024 Weight: ca. 16.2 kg neutered & vaccinated: Yes Vix is a very special dog who has preserved his gentle nature despite his difficult past. He was rescued during the devastating forest fires in South Korea – fires that claimed the lives of many dogs because they were tied up and couldn't escape. Vix was lucky and got a second chance. At first, Vix is a bit cautious and reserved when meeting new people. But once he realizes that he is met with patience and kindness, he begins to trust and seeks out closeness on his own. He loves friendly people but wants to come at his own pace. With other dogs, Vix is distinctly social and sensitive. He plays gently with smaller dogs, runs joyfully with larger ones, and always behaves respectfully. His calm nature is particularly noteworthy: even in excitement, he remains controlled and friendly. Vix loves a balanced mix of small adventures and quiet moments. Two relaxed walks a day are enough for him. After that, he enjoys relaxing, being with his people, or simply relaxing peacefully. His nature can best be described as calm, sensitive, and elegant. Vix never pushes to the forefront, but instead becomes a quiet, loyal companion on whom one can always rely. Physically, Vix is doing very well today. A previous skin-pilosis infection has left some areas with thinner fur, and he successfully completed his heartworm treatment. For Vix, we wish for a quiet and loving home with people who have understanding for sensitive dogs and can give him security. Whether apartment or house – more important than the living arrangement is for him a harmonious environment full of patience, calm, and affection. Vix is not a dog who demands attention with loudness. But who gives him time will receive an exceptionally loving and loyal lifelong friend. 💛🐶 Images & Videos of Vix:

About Vix

What life with Vix looks like

Vix is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. in Ebstorf.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vix, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vix?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vix on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vix if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vix already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vix isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with German Hands meet Korean Paws e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vix and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
