male Pitbull-Mix neutered? no specification Bobby is not in the possession of the animal shelter and does not live in the animal shelter. This is a private ad. Contact details are below! The animal shelter Cappel in Marburg does not take any responsibility for private ads or ads from other organizations. ________________________ Here is the ad for Bobby: He is not compatible with unneutered male dogs, gets along well with females (they will still be barked at first), and with neutered male dogs, it depends on their liking. All dogs are barked at or growled at first, whether he does it for his own protection, out of insecurity, or for any other reason, I do not know. Walking is very tiring – not because he cannot walk on a leash, he can. He barks or growls at everything and everyone. Whether human, whether animal – everything is barked at first – except if the human is directly friendly to him, then he wags his tail and wants to cuddle or play. Currently, I only walk him with a muzzle for his protection and the protection of others. If he gets worked up, it is difficult to get him under control again. He attacked a 5-year-old girl last year, hitting her in the face – she had a scratch wound on her cheek. He needs a lot of time and training to get these flaws under control. I do not have the time, I am fully employed. Bobby lives in 63667 Nidda. Contact: ________________________ (As of 11.06.2024) (Click on the images to see them in full size!)

About Von Privat Bobby

What life with Von Privat Bobby looks like

Von Privat Bobby is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Von Privat Bobby, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Von Privat Bobby?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Von Privat Bobby on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Von Privat Bobby if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Von Privat Bobby already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Von Privat Bobby isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Von Privat Bobby and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
