Doch hinter der beeindruckenden Fassade verbirgt sich ein charmanter und liebenswerter Charakter, der nun auf der Suche nach seinen Menschen ist. Da Walther momentan mit einem anderen FIV-Kater namens Moritz in einem Zimmer zusammenlebt, wäre es wunderbar, wenn die beiden vielleicht sogar gemeinsam in ihr neues Zuhause ziehen könnten. Da bei ihm FIV (Felines Immundefizienz-Virus) diagnostiziert wurde, gibt es für sein neues Zuhause ein paar wichtige Voraussetzungen. FIV ist für Menschen und andere Tierarten völlig ungefährlich, wird jedoch unter Katzen bei Raufereien übertragen. Deshalb wird er ausschließlich in reine Wohnungshaltung vermittelt – idealerweise mit einem abgesicherten Balkon, auf dem er sich frischen Wind um die Nase wehen lassen kann.
