Wanda

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

General Information: Adorable cat with a predominantly black coat, featuring white chest, muzzle, and paws, as well as stunning yellow-green eyes. Vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV-FeLV negative. Temperament: Wanda is a delightful cat! Sweet, sociable, curious, and playful, she loves to participate in everything happening around her and eagerly seeks human interaction. She enthusiastically welcomes the arrival of volunteers and never misses an opportunity to receive cuddles and attention. When someone stops near her, she approaches confidently and often chooses to curl up on someone’s lap, enjoying a relaxing petting session. She has an excellent relationship with Timmy and Cosmo: she shares spaces, resources, and moments of interaction peacefully, demonstrating a balanced character and a natural predisposition for cohabitation. Ideal Adoption: Wanda is the perfect companion for a family, a couple, or a single person who is present and affectionate—someone capable of offering her companionship, attention, and shared moments. Thanks to her balanced temperament and adaptability, she can also live happily alongside children who respect a cat’s needs and personal space. She’s also an ideal choice for those new to the world of cats. Given the strong bond she shares with Timmy and Cosmo, it would be especially wonderful to see her adopted together with one of them—or even better, with both of them. She can also live in a home with a garden, provided that access to the outdoors occurs only after a proper acclimatization period and once she has established solid territorial and relational landmarks. Adoption is possible exclusively within the province of Monza e Brianza and in the immediately neighboring municipalities. Origin: Wanda comes from an unsuitable living and family environment along with two other cats—Timmy and Cosmo, who are a few years older than her. At the shelter, she quickly settled in and faced the change with serenity, adapting very well to her new, albeit temporary, reality.

About Wanda

What life with Wanda looks like

Wanda is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at ENPA Monza e Brianza in Monza.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wanda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wanda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ENPA Monza e Brianza handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wanda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wanda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ENPA Monza e Brianza will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wanda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wanda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ENPA Monza e Brianza early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wanda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
