Adopt Warsik

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 16 years

In 2008, so about 16 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, he has vision problems - he sees poorly. Warsik is a dog that has been through a lot, and is very distrustful of strangers. It takes a lot of time for him to come out when he doesn't know someone. Each day he feels better in a home environment. He has mastered begging under the fridge. He has a chip in his back - meal times are sacred. Warsik needs extremely patient people. We are looking for a home with a garden and a secure fence. A crate kennel is mandatory - Wars and Sawa feel safe in them, especially when new people arrive. He gets along with other dogs, but doesn't know cats. Walks outside the garden area - it's a tragedy. Wars behaves like a real wild animal then. Vet visits and car rides - it's a very stressful experience for him. ADOPTION PROCEDURE 1. Fill out the Questionnaire: 2. In their case, several meetings with the dogs and a pre-adoption visit will be mandatory. 3. Signing the contract and handing over the dog. In case of questions, please call or write:

Warsik to pies po przejściach, jest bardzo nieufny względem obcych.Dużo czasu potrzeba by wyszedł, gdy kogoś nie zna. Z każdym dniem lepiej czuje się w domowych warunkach. About Warsik

What life with Warsik looks like

Warsik is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Warsik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Warsik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Warsik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Warsik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Warsik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Warsik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Jestem Głosem Tych Co Nie Mówią early rather than rehoming privately; they know Warsik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
