Wellensittiche Lotte & Otto, Traube und Knut
Male
Lotte (blue-yellow-grey plumage) and Otto (blue-white plumage) both came to us in September from a private donation, and now they live here as a pair. Lotte was born in 2018, while Otto's age is unknown. Traube came to us after a house fire and has a wild-colored plumage. He was born in 2026 and also came to us in September. Knut is a found bird with yellow-green plumage, and his age is unknown. He was also found in September and brought to us at the animal shelter. Parakeets are originally from Australia and are exported from there as pets to the whole world. Meanwhile, there are also parakeet breeding farms in almost all countries of the world. Parakeets that live in the wild prefer semi-dry to dry areas, and they are usually not found in forests. The wellis, which are considered the most popular pet birds in the world, are known above all for their colorful, striking plumage. They are also relatively small and, compared to other bird species such as parrots, very quiet.
