Wollie

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Wollie has found his luck! His story: Wollie was allowed to travel to his foster home and is waiting for you. He has settled in well, but is still a little shy. But Wollie loves learning new tricks and is generally very smart. There might be a little Mudi in him. Originally, Wollie came from Cluj, Romania. Wollie and Bobby – an unbeatably sweet sibling pair! These two cute male dogs are looking for their people and are ready for their own family soon. The brothers were found together with Mom Greta on the street, in the middle of nowhere. Just streets that could be dangerous for the dogs. It can be assumed that this little family was abandoned here because the little legs couldn't have walked so far to come from civilization. All three came to our private shelter and could stay there until their travel arrangements. Our Wollie is a small, fluffy, and sweet male dog, currently around 2.5-3 years old. He has a good medium size and is typical of a young dog, playful and curious. He is also very affectionate and loves it when his belly is stroked. He gets along well with other dogs. But Wollie is still afraid in many situations and therefore needs a quiet home, preferably in the countryside, and people who can bring patience and understanding for the little guy. The little fluff ball is looking for people who won't expect anything from him at first and will show him how a normal dog life works. Whoever gets Wollie has a little jewel by their side… The handsome Wollie is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He has an EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive match. Who will give Wollie a life full of love? Many thanks to Michaela G.! You gave Wollie a name and thus an identity! Date: 30.10. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

Stand: 30.10.2023

About Wollie

What life with Wollie looks like

Wollie is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wollie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wollie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wollie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wollie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wollie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wollie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wollie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
