adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Woozle has found a home! His story: Woozle, Lotti, Tosha, Kia, and Miena have beaten the odds. What should have been discarded as trash, fate had other plans. The 5 mice were saved and are enjoying their kittenhood with our animal rescuer Maria in full swing. All that's missing now is their own home for perfect happiness. The handsome Woozle not only shines through his cheerful nature but also his wonderful fur pattern. The little heartbreaker also has a look that you just can't resist. At first glance, it could be a mix with a herder breed. Herder dogs are extremely intelligent and eager to learn. They make excellent working dogs and training partners. So Woozle is not just a couch dog and for short walks. Boredom can lead to herder dogs becoming restless and seeking their own activities, which may not always align with their owners' wishes 😉. Choosing Woozle means choosing: off the couch and many shared adventures. Woozle is looking for people who won't expect much from him and will show him how a normal dog life works. He's still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes a mishap shouldn't be held against him and he should always be guided with a positive training style. He's looking forward to his new life with nature walks, lots of snuggling, and also a visit to puppy school. Most dog schools now offer trial classes where you can also discover together what activities, in addition to normal training, bring you joy. In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. Plus, the more challenging pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the lives of these little rascals, and often their owners, upside down. They "forget" everything they've learned and their ears are on high alert. Therefore, it's especially important to consistently – but lovingly – train during this phase. With lots of patience and humor, you'll definitely get through this phase together. Woozle travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with his EU pet passport, to his new home. Adoption is also welcome through a foster home. A special thanks to Stephanie L.! You gave Woozle his name and thus his identity. As of: 14.07.

Stand: 14.07.2025

About Woozle

What life with Woozle looks like

Woozle is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Woozle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Woozle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Woozle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Woozle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Woozle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Woozle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Woozle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
