Yigit ist ein ausgesprochen freundlicher und menschenbezogener Staffordshire-Terrier-Rüde, der bei uns auch liebevoll „Igitt“ oder „Igitt-Igitt“ genannt wird. Dabei ist er gar nicht so igitt. Der unkastrierte Rüde kam nach einer Sicherstellung mit sofortiger Abgabe zu uns, da sein ehemaliger Besitzer die Hundesteuer nicht bezahlt hatte und ihn ohnehin nicht mehr behalten wollte. Menschen gegenüber zeigt sich Yigit absolut offen und freundlich. Er liebt Aufmerksamkeit und genießt es, Zeit mit seinen Menschen zu verbringen. Auch Kinder ab 10 Jahren können wir uns bei ihm gut vorstellen. Yigit ist ein aktiver und energiegeladener Hund, weshalb wir für ihn Menschen suchen, die gerne viel mit ihrem Hund unternehmen. Er hat Spaß an Beschäftigung, lernt schnell und arbeitet gerne mit seinem Menschen zusammen. Gleichzeitig kann er in einem ruhigen Umfeld gut abschalten. Das Leben im Haus kennt Yigit bereits. Er ist stubenrein und auch gut leinenführig. Bei uns im Tierheim ist er leider deutlich gestresster, weshalb wir hoffen, dass er bald wieder in eine ruhigere Umgebung umziehen kann. Mit anderen Hunden ist Yigit nach Sympathie verträglich. Je nach Gegenüber kann es bei Hundebegegnungen auch einmal nach vorne gehen. Wir sehen ihn daher eher als Einzelhund oder bei einer ruhigen, souveränen Hündin. Aufgrund seines ausgeprägten, terriertypischen Jagdtriebs wird Yigit nicht zu Katzen oder anderen Kleintieren vermittelt. Außerdem kann er die Straßenbahn nicht leiden. Andere Reize sind für ihn aber kein Problem. Für Yigit suchen wir Menschen, die einen aktiven und intelligenten Hund suchen, Freude an gemeinsamer Beschäftigung haben und ihm gleichzeitig die nötige Führung geben können. Da Yigit ein kräftiger Rüde ist und bei Hundebegegnungen durchaus nach vorne gehen kann, sollten seine zukünftigen Menschen ihn auch körperlich sicher halten können. Als Staffordshire Terrier ist Yigit ein Listenhund. Für seine Haltung sind daher Sachkunde und Wesenstest erforderlich. Seinen Wesenstest hat Yigit bei uns bereits mit Bravour bestanden.
