Personality:Meet Yoda, our lovely gentle giant. Yoda found himself in our care due to no fault of his own, he loves his human friends and having cuddles (sometimes thinking he is a lap dog!!). Yoda can be VERY strong on the lead, and needs to continue Loose Lead training in his new home, but is this has improved greatly. Yoda loves going for long walks, playing fetch with a ball or with his teddies. Behaviour:Yoda is a very friendly, affectionate, very large boy who is currently on a weight loss plan which will need to be continued in the home until he is at the correct weight. He had been finding the kennels quite stressful, so has now settled well in a foster home and is currently living with two children. He loves a good massage/fuss and being around his trusted people. He would benefit from an owner experienced with large bully breeds although not essential. Housing:Yoda will need a good sized secure garden to explore, he is a dog that likes to be near you, Yoda can suffer with a little bit of separation anxiety in the home, but is currently being left for up to 2 hours and settling well when left. This will have to be built up gradually in a new home. Children/pets:Yoda will need to be the only dog in the home. He cannot live with cats. Yoda could live children of secondary school age who are used to large breeds. Vet history:Yoda is up to date with his vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. He will need to come back to the shelter to be neutered once he has settled. Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £220. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
